BIBLE PROPHECY - The Tribulation In Detail

If you’ve just tuned in, you are listening to a special UNIVERSAL NEWS BROADCAST. We are recapping the major past events, from Israel’s rebirth through the Tribulation and destruction of the world during the Battle of Armageddon.

At this time, the Antichrist fulfilled Daniel 9:27.

The man of sin confirmed a covenant with Israel and others, which began

DAY ONE OF THE TRIBULATION

The Tribulation had an appointed time.

The Covenant and Its Results

It is written: Dan 9:27-And he (the man of sin, the Antichrist) shall confirm the covenant (or agreement, or treaty) with many (which is Israel and others) for one week (or 7 years, or 7 x 360 days, or a total of 2520 days).

• As a result of the covenant, Israel now believed it was dwelling safely.
• They were saying it was now a time of “peace and safety.”
• They didn’t realize that sudden destruction was about to come, as Russia and its allies were about to hit them with a military force, such as the world had never seen.
• Israel had made an agreement with death. God had warned Israel in the Scriptures that the agreement would not stand, but Israel didn’t hear.
• Israel had made an unthinkable mistake. They had trusted in the leader in Europe, which was the Antichrist, rather than trusting in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
• Israel was being protected by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but they did not know it or take notice of it-Ezek 38:14.
• Israel was about to be threshed.

The verse (Dan 9:27) continues to the midst of the Tribulation: and in the midst (or middle) of the week (or 7) (or at the point of 1260 days), he (the Antichrist) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease (or he shall put an end to the sacrifice and offering), and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, (or on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation even until the consummation (or end), and that determined (or decreed) shall be poured upon the desolate (or on him, or the Antichrist).
Later in the first part of the Tribulation, the Temple would be rebuilt on the Temple Mount. Sacrifices and oblations would be initiated. But when the Antichrist reigned and ruled in Jerusalem and proclaimed himself to be God, he caused the sacrifices and oblations to stop.

The Tribulation consisted of two parts of 1260 days each; however, the first part was shortened. If it had not been shortened, when the end of the Tribulation came, no flesh on earth would have been left alive.

As should later be covered, the elect (those that had put their trust in Jesus Christ) were to flee when the Abomination of Desolation would be seen, which was approximately 1260 days from the end. Because the first part of the Tribulation had been shortened, they could not count 1260 days from the date of the covenant. Rather they had to look for the Abomination of Desolation to occur, and then flee fast to the place that God had prepared for them, which was yet unknown.

THE TRIBULATION

The Tribulation did not begin immediately after the Rapture.
It began after the man of sin (also called the Antichrist) came forth, established himself, and then confirmed a covenant (or agreement) with Israel and others. This was listed in Dan 9:27.

Then the time of trouble, such as never was, came. The Tribulation began.

• Those that were left behind and had recognized what had happened were very upset with God. The seemingly loving spirit they had, now showed itself to be something quite the opposite. Many were terrified. Some had no knowledge of what was about to happen, while some others had only a limited knowledge, but what they knew was very frightening. Some had been taught so inadequately, they believed the first part of the Tribulation was not going to be so bad.
  Undoubtedly, every one of them, at this time, wished they had a complete breakdown of what was to come and how to survive, such as you may be reading or hearing right now.
  
  Some people, at the last moment, had recognized they were not ready, while others believed they were. God’s Word had warned all people that the gate to heaven is strait and the way is narrow, and only a few find it. But most churches, in that latter day generation before the Rapture came, were teaching a very wide gate and a very broad way to enter heaven, of which many followed. The results were many were left behind. They never understood Ps 50:5-GATHER MY SAINTS TOGETHER UNTO ME; THOSE THAT HAVE MADE A COVENANT WITH ME BY SACRIFICE. Some once sang a song, “I Surrender All,” but they never did.
  
• The many so-called Christians that said a sinner’s prayer, but did not repent or do the will of God, or did not follow Jesus as the Bible told them to, now had to face the next few years, which were the worst years this world had ever seen. Many were soon killed, as a result of World War 3, which was fast approaching. Few suspected that World War 3 would really happen.
  Those that were killed had no chance to repent. Those that survived had a chance to repent later on, but most were brutally tortured and then beheaded.
  
• Many people gave very little thought that an event called the Rapture had even happened. After all, the number that had been taken was extremely small, and most did not believe in such a thing as the Rapture. Most went about life as usual.
  The Catholics were all here, except a very few that had repented and overcome. The Pope was still here. They had little understanding of what the Rapture even was.
  Most so-called Christians were all here. The followers of Islam were still here.
  Atheists and agnostics, the entire congregations of most churches, and their ministers, the followers of cults and other religions, and all lukewarm Christians, along with all unbelievers were still here.
  Only the few that truly repented, feared God, and overcame the schemes and devices of the devil, only those that had heard, or immersed themselves in God’s Word and obeyed it, which brought forth good fruit, and followed Jesus, suffering persecutions along the way—these are the few that were raptured. The excuse-makers that never seemed to have much time to follow Jesus were also left behind.
  
• The Roman Catholic Church continued to grow and prosper after the Rapture. None of its followers were raptured. Its headquarters was located in an independent area of Rome called the Vatican.
• Immediately following the Rapture, sin began to increase even more than it had previously as birth pangs of a woman.
  All over the world, hatred increased.
  Every evil imaginable appeared to get worse.
  Riots, vandalism, drugs, stealing, fights, murders and lawlessness began to skyrocket. It started progressing beyond anything the earth had ever seen since the flood or since the time of Sodom and Gomorrah. Buildings were looted and burned. Vehicles were attacked and destroyed. People were attacked and beaten, for no reason other than for fun.
  Even the police and those in authority became more violent and hostile.
  There were now no saved people left on planet earth. The salt of the earth was gone.
  Hatred between various groups increased and became out of control.
  Hatred between wives and husbands, between children and their parents, and between relatives grew more intense.
  Because sin (or iniquity, or wickedness) abounded, the love of many waxed cold.
  

THE ANTICHRIST

Can Now Come Forth

(A Brief Commentary. An indepth commentary should follow with additional information)

The Antichrist, also known as the man of sin and many other names, was held back from being revealed until the Rapture had taken place.
Once the Rapture happened, both the spirit of lawlessness was released from being somewhat held in check, and the one that would become known as the Antichrist came forth.

Take note. Case in point: Time in heaven is much different than on earth.
The Scriptures revealed that once the saints were raptured and met the Lord in the air, they were afterward judged for rewards. Then they participated in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Then they are found before the throne of God in an almost indescribable scene. The saints then witness the 7 sealed book brought forth, but none were found worthy to open the seals.
Jesus takes it out of the right hand of God the Father. Then, one by one, He begins to open the seals. The first seal is opened. This was the Antichrist coming forth right after the Rapture.
On earth, very little time had passed between the Rapture and the Antichrist coming forth, but in heaven many events had taken place during a fairly long length of time.
Conclusion: time in heaven appears to be much different than time on earth.

Following the Antichrist coming forth, an organization which we call the revived Roman Empire was taken over by this man of sin.
This put him in a position to confirm a covenant with Israel and others, which would begin the Tribulation.

Additional Information on This Subject

Immediately after the Rapture happened, that which was holding back the spirit of lawlessness, as well as the Antichrist, from coming forth, was removed. Thus, the Antichrist could now come forth and be revealed-ref 2 Thes 2:7,8. The Holy Spirit that indwelled the saints had been taken out of the way. As it was written, “HE” BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY. The saints that had received the gift of the Holy Ghost were removed by the Rapture.

The Antichrist came forth. As it was written, HE (the Antichrist) “MIGHT” BE REVEALED IN HIS TIME-2 Thes 2:6; AND THEN “SHALL” THAT WICKED (the Antichrist, the lawless one) BE REVEALED-2 Thes 2:8.

2 Thes 2:6-12-AND NOW YE KNOW WHAT WITHHOLDETH (or what is holding him back) THAT HE (the Antichrist) MIGHT BE REVEALED IN HIS TIME.
FOR THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY (or secret power of lawlessness) DOTH ALREADY WORK: (or is already at work) ONLY HE WHO NOW LETTETH (or the one who now holds it back) WILL LET (or will continue to do so) UNTIL HE BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY.
AND THEN SHALL THAT WICKED (or lawless one-the Antichrist) BE REVEALED, EVEN HIM, WHOSE COMING IS AFTER THE WORKING OF SATAN WITH ALL POWER AND SIGNS AND LYING WONDERS.

AND THE PEOPLE (which were the Romans) OF THE PRINCE THAT SHALL COME (which was the Antichrist) SHALL DESTROY THE CITY (which was Jerusalem) AND THE SANCTUARY-Dan 9:26.
The Romans were the ones that came and destroyed Jerusalem back in 70 AD; thus, this is where the man of sin had to come from. He came forth from Rome, a city that sits on seven mountains.

(The Bible had foretold much about the Antichrist)

The man of sin (that is, the Antichrist) was called in the Scriptures by many names. Some of his characteristics are also given here:

• He came forth out of the revived Roman Empire-ref Dan 9:26
• He comes in his own name-Jn 5:43
• He had no DESIRE OF WOMEN-Dan 11:37 (indicates he is single and may also indicate he desires men)
• He had the characteristics of his father, Satan: very evil, a skillful liar, deceitful, cunning, and persuasive-ref Gen 3:15
• He is called as a beast that rises out of the sea-Rev 13:1
• 666 is the number of the beast, it is the number of a man-Rev 13:18
• He is called a king of fierce countenance-Dan 8:23

In many ways, the Antichrist tried to duplicate Jesus.

Note the trinity of God: the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
The trinity of Satan: Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet.

Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead.
The Antichrist was killed with a weapon and came back to life-Rev 13:3,4,12-14.

Jesus did great miracles.
The Antichrist and False Prophet did great miracles.

The Holy Ghost came upon the virgin Mary, and the power of the Highest overshadowed her; and Jesus, the Son of God, the Christ was born.
It appears Satan caused a woman to become pregnant; and thus the son of Satan, called the Antichrist, was born.

Jesus was a Jew.
The Antichrist was a Jew.

Jesus claimed to be God.
The Antichrist claimed to be God.

Jesus honored his Father in heaven.
The Antichrist honored his father, Satan.

Jesus entered Jerusalem.
The Antichrist entered Jerusalem.

Those that followed Jesus worshipped Him.
Those that followed the Antichrist worshipped him.

Jesus shall rule the world.
The Antichrist ruled the world for three and a half years.

Jesus shall rule from Jerusalem.
The Antichrist ruled from Jerusalem.

Jesus is truth.
The Antichrist was deceit and lies (or the Lie-JNT).

Jesus is love.
The Antichrist was hate.

Jesus gives life.
The Antichrist gave death.

The Holy Spirit guides a person to truth.
The False Prophet guided a person to deceit.

The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus, and Jesus glorifies His Father.
The False Prophet glorified the Antichrist, and the Antichrist glorified Satan.

The saints were sealed with the Holy Spirit.
The followers of the Antichrist were sealed with the mark of the beast.

It was written, THE (former) BEASTS THAT WERE BEFORE IT; AND IT HAD TEN HORNS. The horns represented kings, rulers, or representatives, which seem to represent nations. I CONSIDERED (or while I was thinking about-NIV) THE HORNS (or kings, or rulers), AND, BEHOLD, THERE CAME UP AMONG THEM ANOTHER LITTLE HORN (which is the Antichrist). He is described as a little horn, but becomes the greatest. From among the ten kings, rulers, or representatives, the Antichrist comes up.
BEFORE WHOM (or before the Antichrist) THERE WERE THREE OF THE FIRST HORNS (or kings, rulers, or representatives) PLUCKED UP BY THE ROOTS. The three were removed, or dismissed.
Of the three that were removed, it was written, AS CONCERNING THE REST OF THE BEASTS, THEY HAD THEIR DOMINION TAKEN AWAY (or had been stripped of their authority-NIV): YET THEIR LIVES WERE PROLONGED (or they were allowed to live) FOR A SEASON AND TIME (a year and a half)-Dan 7:12.
AND, BEHOLD, IN THIS HORN (which is the Antichrist) WERE EYES LIKE THE EYES OF MAN, AND A MOUTH SPEAKING GREAT THINGS (or that spoke boastfully)-Dan 7:7,8. The Antichrist will be the most evil person ever to walk the earth. He will have the wisdom, power, cunning, and craftiness of his father Satan.

AND (I also wanted to know-NIV) OF THE TEN HORNS (or kings, rulers, or representatives) THAT WERE IN (or on) HIS HEAD, AND OF THE OTHER WHICH CAME UP (which is the Antichrist), AND BEFORE WHOM THREE (of them) (three of the kings, rulers, or representatives) FELL (or were dethroned, or dismissed) as a result of the Antichrist. EVEN OF THAT HORN THAT HAD EYES (which is the Antichrist), AND A MOUTH THAT SPAKE VERY GREAT THINGS (or boastfully). The Antichrist’s speech was full of pride and boastfulness. And his LOOK WAS MORE STOUT (or more imposing, or intimidating) THAN HIS FELLOWS.
AND THE TEN HORNS OUT OF THIS KINGDOM ARE TEN KINGS (or rulers, or representatives) THAT SHALL ARISE (or who will come from this kingdom): AND ANOTHER (king) (which is the Antichrist) SHALL RISE AFTER THEM. The Antichrist shall arise, or come forth, after the ten kings.
AND HE (the Antichrist) SHALL BE DIVERSE (or different) FROM THE FIRST (or earlier ones). The Antichrist will be different than the other kings, rulers, or representatives. (Note: this is because his father is Satan). AND HE SHALL SUBDUE (dismiss, unseat, or destroy in some manner) THREE KINGS-Dan 7:20,24.
AND THE TEN HORNS (which are mentioned in Rev 17:7,3) WHICH THOU SAWEST ARE TEN KINGS. Thus, the ten horns, which the beast has, represent ten kings, WHICH HAVE RECEIVED NO KINGDOM AS YET (or who have not yet-NASB) (begun to rule); BUT RECEIVE POWER (or authority) AS KINGS (for) ONE HOUR (along) WITH THE BEAST (or the Antichrist)-Rev 17:12. These ten horns or kings are believed to represent ten nations or ten areas.

THESE HAVE ONE MIND (or one purpose), AND SHALL GIVE THEIR POWER (or hand over their power) AND STRENGTH (or authority) UNTO THE BEAST (or Antichrist)-Rev 17:13.

HISTORY—ROMANS DESTROYED ISRAEL

The Scriptures foretold in the days of Daniel (app. 539 BC), of the rebuilding of Jerusalem and of the coming of the Messiah and His death, and the destruction of Jerusalem and the sanctuary. It was also clearly shown that the people that would destroy Jerusalem would be the same people from which the Antichrist would come forth-ref Dan 9:26.

Eventually, the Roman Empire passed and faded into history around the fifth century.

Many other empires have since come and gone. Then, in 1948, the beginning of what has been called a revived Roman Empire began to take shape. Certain countries in Europe began to unite. It later became known as the European Common Market, and then the European Economic Community (or EEC), and then the European community (or EC), and then the European Union (or EU). Many treaties were initiated as the organization evolved. The power, size, and influence of this union continued to grow, as more and more nations became part of it. It also initiated its own currency called the euro. Its influence became worldwide.

Then the Rapture came. The spirit of lawlessness was unleashed, the Antichrist came forth, and sin began to explode as never before.
He was the son of Satan and had the power of Satan.
This man of sin had superhuman intelligence and the wisdom of his father, Satan.
He spoke great things. It was written: 2 Th 2:9-EVEN HIM, WHOSE COMING IS AFTER THE WORKING OF SATAN WITH ALL POWER AND SIGNS AND LYING WONDERS.
He came forth from the revived Roman Empire, because of what was written in Dan 9:26.
He HAD A BOW. It may be noted that no arrows were mentioned. He had a method of conquering, but not using war. He conquered by peace. He conquered with words. This was a diplomat, of sorts. This was the most ruthless, evil man that had ever existed.
AND HE WENT FORTH CONQUERING, AND TO CONQUER (he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest-NIV)-Rev 6:2.
His ultimate goal was to make people believe he was God and to rule the world.
He quickly became the dominant figure in Europe.

The Antichrist was an extremely proud, boastful, intimidating, and imposing person.
He was different from the others, after all, he was the son of Satan.

He (the Antichrist) came forth or arose after the ten kings, rulers, or representatives of what we call the revived Roman Empire. He came up from among them. The Scriptures describe such an empire in Rev chapters 17 and 18, which fits the united Europe perfectly.

None could stand against him without consequences. If they tried, their future could be very unsatisfactory.
He begin to initiate his plan to rule in Europe, but he was met with some opposition.
At the time he was taking over the united Europe, three of the first rulers (or kings, or representatives of nations) opposed him.
They were plucked up by the roots, and subdued and fell-Dan 7:8,23,24. Their authority was removed, however their lives were prolonged for a year and a half. By peace, he destroyed many-Dan 8:25.
He spoke great words. His countenance was more intimidating than the others.
There were ten kings (or rulers) that had not yet received a kingdom and had not yet begun to rule, but received authority as kings for one hour with the Antichrist. They handed over their power or authority to the Antichrist-Rev 17:13. He became its leader.

What had been the reorganized European union now underwent major changes.
The man of sin had prevailed.
In its final form, this empire consisted of two parts, or as referred to in Daniel—two legs and two feet, the eastern and western.
Each had five toes (or 5 kings), thus a total of ten. However, these did not cleave to each other, even as clay and iron do not mix. Neither did supernatural beings of the darkness mix well with humans. Thus, it was partly strong and partly weak, partly united and partly divided. This became the fourth and last kingdom before Jesus returned. A one-world, united economic system was put into place. This last kingdom was dreadfully strong and would rule over all the earth and split it up into pieces.
